The May DCM was held at the South Clairemont Community Park from 1 pm - 4 pm. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make the leis (which will be sold during graduation; all proceeds will be donated to Nepal) because the shipment of ribbons never arrived. We practiced our cheers for fall rally and bonded together!
We had another beach clean up with our Key Club friends from Mission Bay HS and Point Loma HS! It took place on May 29th from 5 pm - 7 pm at South Mission Beach.
We participated in the Make a Card Campaign at the San Diego Run for Vets on May 9th! We ran a booth where we encouraged participants to write thank you cards (on blank index cards) to vets. We created posters to advertise our booth prior to the event
The 67th Annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival took place on May 9th from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM at Dusty Rhodes Park! (Located between Nimitz Blvd. and Sunset Cliffs Blvd.) This event is held annually for the sole purpose of bringing joy through kite building. Volunteers helped kids register, build kites, clean the area, supervise games, and have a great time! Your help was greatly appreciated on this fun day!
The High Tech High Key Club hosted a booth at the Village Fest! The game was "Pin the *insert item* on the HTV Director!" The school of the director that received the most correct pin placements will receive a free dress day on May 15th. By playing the game, you are also saving a mother or child from Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) in a third world country. In honor of #EliminateWeek, 50% of all proceeds raised will be donated to this cause.
The beach cleanup with the Mission Bay and Point Loma key clubs took place on April 17th from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm at South Mission Beach.

"You will be next to your Honored Guest when they get their make-up/hair, you will go with them to pick out jewelry, you will go with them as they get their corsage/boutonniere, you will go with them as they get their picture taken (and you will be in a picture with them), you will go with them in the Limos, you will walk the Red Carpet with them, you will dance with them, eat with them (help get their food), introduce them to other Guests.
